Copenhagen Fashion Week and The Business of Fashion are excited to announce the forthcoming Roundtable that will be held on the final day of Copenhagen Fashion Week, AW23. The roundtable will bring together leaders from the global community to discuss how the fashion industry can accelerate systems change.

Including 14 panellists alongside the CEO of Copenhagen Fashion Week, Cecilie Thorsmark, those present represent a reputable cross section of the industry with leaders from the Federation Francaise de la Haute Couture et de la Mode, Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana, Camera Nazionale, Marimekko, Ganni, EU Parliament, The Garment, Euratex, European Fashion Alliance/Fashion Council Germany, Lenzing, Renewcell, Wardrobe Crisis and Tomorrow LTD.

Commenting on the partnership with Business of Fashion, Cecilie Thorsmark notes:
“More and more do our industry need to band together in order to effect progressive and effective solutions to the major obstacles we are facing from climate change to social injustice. A major step for us was the implementation of the Sustainability Requirements that come into effect this season and demand brands to live up to 18 Minimum Standards to be on the official show schedule. Those standards take a holistic look at sustainability and in light of their implementation, we hope to collaborate with these great leaders of organisations and companies, industry representatives and brands to put all proposals on the table and take action. ”

Robin Mellory Pratt, Senior Director of Content Strategy at The Business of Fashion notes:
"The Business of Fashion is delighted to be hosting a roundtable discussion in partnership with Copenhagen Fashion Week, bringing together stakeholders from across the value chain to identify how the industry can accelerate its efforts to become more sustainable. With legislators, raw materials innovators, representatives from a number of major fashion weeks, leading brands and experts in product lifecycles and consumer sentiment all present, we can learn from each other efficiently and in turn, more effectively drive the urgent systemic change required.”
