About CPHFW
Copenhagen Fashion Week (CPHFW) is the biggest fashion week in Northern Europe, held biannually in January/February and August.

Copenhagen Fashion Week strive towards making positive change to inspire and encourage the industry to accelerate their sustainability efforts. In January 2020, Copenhagen Fashion Week announced the implementation of the Sustainability Requirements framework which came to effect by 2023.
Since then, the Sustainability Requirements framework is used in the application process of Copenhagen Fashion Week to screen against brands compliance to the Minimum Standards. Alongside, Copenhagen Fashion Week has established partnerships around the Sustainability Requirements framework to accelerate positive change across the international markets. Currently partnering with Oslo Runway, the Norwegian Fashion Hub, Berlin Fashion Week executed by the Fashion Council Germany, the British Fashion Council and Amsterdam Fashion Week.
By implementing the Sustainability Requirements framework, Copenhagen Fashion Week is not claiming ourselves nor the brands on our show and presentation schedule to be inherently sustainable or to execute sustainability efforts perfectly. Rather the framework creates a basis and common language for CPHFW and our brand network, outlining the expectations that must be met to take part in our fashion week. In 2018, Copenhagen Fashion Week got a new management which brought about a highly intensified focus on sustainability. Newly appointed CEO Cecilie Thorsmark established an advisory board of industry professionals and welcomed onboard Knowledge Partner In futurum to help shape the development of Copenhagen Fashion Week’s sustainability strategy.
In January 2020, Copenhagen Fashion Week launched its first ambitious Sustainability Action Plan. In the spring of 2023, a continuation of the Sustainability Action Plan will be published.
Copenhagen Fashion Week is a foundation funded by industry contributions and commercial partnerships with Strategic Partner Zalando as the main contributor.
The commercial partnerships Copenhagen Fashion Week takes part in are based on a shared vision, and are set in place to ensure the best possible experience for participating brands, press and buyers. All commercial posts are marked with a mandatory disclaimer of sponsored content, in accordance with Danish law, and is created in line with Copenhagen Fashion Week’s ethical charter.

The Board of Copenhagen Fashion Week consists of six members with expertise spanning leadership, fashion, media, and entrepreneurship. The board is gender-balanced and professionally diverse. All members are internally appointed, considered independent, and none hold shares or similar instruments in the foundation’s subsidiaries or affiliated companies.
