Gestuz
Gestuz was founded in 2008 by Sanne Sehested, who wanted to create a brand inspired by her own vintage feeling wardrobe and the kind of energy and attitude she believed fashion should give the wearer.
Looking to create designs that emphasize the strength of women rather than overshadow, and with inspiration from earlier decades and a modern rock and roll woman, Gestuz creates pieces that allow for interpretation from the individual.
Sustainability Requirements
Gestuz has been screened by CPHFW’s Sustainability Committee and is confirmed compliant with the Minimum Standards for AW26.
Please note that the Sustainability Requirements framework is not a certification scheme or audit. As such, complying to the Minimum Standards does not mean a brand or their products are “sustainable”, “responsible, “conscious”, “eco-friendly” or the likes. It simply means the brand has been screened by the CPHFW’s Screening committee Rambøll and are living up to Copenhagen Fashion Week’s admission criteria. Brands are responsible to ensure compliance with the Danish Marketing Practices Act, following the Danish Consumer Ombudsman’s recommendations when communicating about their sustainability practices across their platforms, same goes for any communication related to their participation in Copenhagen Fashion Week and their Sustainability Requirements screening.
