A Letter From the CEO

The SS26 season has been a special edition for me for many reasons. Not only have we never had so many brands on the show, presentation and event schedules - with representatives from Iceland, Denmark, Norway Finland, Sweden - we have never felt so connected to the incredible cross section of Nordic fashion.

While the world remains an uncertain, upsetting, and strange space across political, financial and environmental landscapes, this week presented a glimpse into a resilient, forward thinking and optimistic future where we can celebrate our local talents and unite with our global family of supporters.

With 35 shows, 9 presentations, over 60 events, 16 creative hub activations & installations and 5 talks across the city, we welcomed both new faces and longtime supporters to experience a kaleidoscope of creative visions this season.

This was the first season of introducing our guest slot, with none other than Cecilie Bahnsen hosting the opportunity for the SS26 edition. An incredible show that celebrated 10 years of her uncompromising creativity. Furthermore, we were so proud to have seen the return of; from Denmark, Anne Sofie Madsen, Sunflower, Freya Dalsjø, Rabens Saloner, Martin Quad, and P.L.N.; from Iceland, Ranra, and from Sweden, Rave Review. These brands have all shown with Copenhagen Fashion Week over the years, so it means so much to us to have had them part of the schedule for SS26.

The SS26 edition also saw a return of an official venue for Copenhagen Fashion Week, taking over Nikolaj Kunsthal for the week. With an array of shows, events and activations taking over the space, we are so excited to welcome back a central location as well as the location for our Opening Reception we co-hosted with CIFF, Dansk Fashion & Textile and Fashion In Helsinki this season.

Furthermore, our CPHFW NEWTALENT presented by Pandora program welcomed Anne Sofie Madsen to the scheme, joining the line up of Berner Kühl and Bonnetje. Our One To Watch designers counted three brilliant rising voices, Kettel Atelier, Stem, and Taus. We are delighted to have announced Pandora as our headline partner for our CPHFW NEWTALENT program from this season onwards. My deepest thanks also goes to our CPHFW NEWTALENT patrons and partners Pandora and CIFF, and patron Ganni, as well as our strategic partner ALPHA and Service Partner Dansk Fashion & Textile.

With subject matter ranging from adaptive fashion, size inclusivity on the runway, creative career paths, the role of craft and the cross-pollination of fashion, art and music, our official talk program with Vogue Business as media partner took place at Verpan and opened its doors to the public, inviting people to hear incredible stories, advice and perspectives. For those who couldn't make it, they are all live as podcasts too.

The summer season also meant an incredible show from the Zalando Visionary Award 2025, celebrating the visionary talent of IAMISIGO this year. This collaboration underscores our shared commitment with Zalando to creativity, innovation, and social impact in fashion, and we were delighted to have such a brilliant brand part of the Copenhagen Fashion Week official show and presentation schedule.
