Nordic Fashion Directory launched to support the implementation of diversity in the creative workplace.

Amelia Hoy, a Danish-American actress working internationally has always been using her voice and her platform in support of diversity, especially in the creative industry.

As a mainstay on the Copenhagen Fashion Week schedule each season, for SS22 Amelia will be hosting a talk on the subject of digital activism in fashion, where she will discuss with Ceval Omar - the Norwegian-Somali activist and model - the importance of representation within the Nordic fashion industry, and how platforms can and should be used to elevate diverse voices.

Amelia is a part of the Nordic Fashion Directory, alongside Robin Douglas Westling, Nicole Kavander, Rebecca Thandi Norman, and Ervin Latimer. Together they will be launching the Nordic Fashion Directory for BIPOC fashion Professionals in the Nordic region this August.

Their mission is to provide an accessible platform and index for BIPOC fashion creatives in the Nordic region across different categories - from designers to marketing professionals, photographers, and many more. They aim to make it easy for brands and organisations to hire BIPOC fashion creatives by creating a visible, supportive, anti-racist community. The Nordic Fashion Directory will be launched on Instagram and will be their main platform to further support and promote diversity in fashion.
