Thank you from the CEO for the SS24 edition

After a week to reflect on what has been arguably our biggest fashion week to date, it is our pleasure to conclude the SS24 edition of Copenhagen Fashion Week.

From the remarkable level of international guests present to experience the shows, events, presentations and our trade fair CIFF x Revolver, to the exceptional standard of collections presented by the brands themselves - the brands that make up our show schedule once again made our fashion week a true celebration of creativity, innovation, and style. The energy resonated not only on the catwalks but also throughout the entire city, as Copenhagen became a vibrant hub of fashion, culture, and expression.

Beyond the runway spectacles, the industry talks and networking events added an invaluable dimension to this fashion week. Collaborative dialogues on sustainability, inclusivity, and the future of fashion demonstrated our commitment to driving positive change within the industry. As we bid adieu to SS24, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to the designers, guests, partners, and everyone else who contributed to making this event a resounding success.

There were many milestones in this edition; the continuation of our CPHFW NEWTALENT program which held the debut shows of Rolf Ekroth and Wessel & Vett Fashion Prize 2022 finalist, Nicklas Skovgaard. All CPHFW NEWTALENT designers also presented in our second season of the CPHFW NEWTALENT showroom supported by CIRCULOSE®.

Our other incredible platform for uplifting voices was the Zalando Visionary Award, the first iteration of the prize that saw UK brand Paolina Russo awarded the prize for their inspiring vision for the future of fashion.

We welcomed back our talk series into a live format that was open to the industry and the public this season, taking place in the Polestar Space, bringing on Vogue Business as our Media Partner. All the talks have been recorded and released as podcasts on Spotify.

Our dedication to spotlighting and uplifting our Nordic brands resulted in a very special dinner with Snapchat, co-hosted by Highsnobiety's Editor In Chief Willa Bennett at the Apollo restaurant.

Our creator hub cultivated our incredible creative community through activations from Dyson, The Ordinary, Snapchat, and Esprit, and a special party with refreshments from 1664Blanc.

Thank you to our strategic partner Zalando, and partners Dyson, The Ordinary, CIRCULOSE®, Skagen Denmark, Snapchat, Kuehne+Nagel, Monpure, Pandora, Hotel Skt. Petri, CPH Airport, Polestar, 1664Blanc, Gran Canaria Swim Week, Birger Christensen Collective, the Wessel & Vett Foundation, Fashion in Helsinki, ALPHA and Vogue Business. Thank you to Dansk Fashion & Textile and trade fair CIFF x Revolver, as well as Creative Denmark.

I hope this has been as much a positive fashion week as it has been for us - the biggest thank you goes to all the supporters that continue to grow with us season upon season.

My very best,
Cecilie Thorsmark, CEO Copenhagen Fashion Week
