Manuel Mathieu Parfums Launch at Henrik Vibskov Boutique

Fragrance meets contemporary art as Manuel Mathieu debuts his perfume collection at Henrik Vibskov Boutique on August 5th during CPHFW.

As part of Copenhagen Fashion Week, artist Manuel Mathieu presents the official launch of his fragrance brand, Manuel Mathieu Parfums, at the Henrik Vibskov Boutique.

Known for his multidisciplinary work across painting, sculpture, and installation, Manuel Mathieu introduces scent as a natural extension of his artistic language. His debut collection of unisex fragrances explores the invisible space between emotion, memory, and identity — using perfume as a medium for storytelling and sensory architecture. The first three scents — île noire, ECCCO, and Dsire — are rooted in personal narratives and universal themes such as rebirth and transformation. Created in collaboration with perfumer Juliette Karagueuzoglou, VP Perfumer at IFF, each composition was developed through an intimate process of experimentation and dialogue between artist and nose.

This launch takes place at Henrik Vibskov Boutique within the conceptual environment of Henrik Vibskov’s AW25 collection, A Bit Overwhelmed by the Opaque Resonance. With its moss-covered objects, traces of decay, and dreamlike scenography, the setting highlights the blurred boundaries between nature, design, and human presence — a backdrop that echoes the sensory, poetic universe of the perfumes.

Positioned at the intersection of art and fashion, the event reflects Vibskov’s ongoing interest in cross-disciplinary practices, while offering a space for exploration, collaboration, and new forms of expression within the framework of Fashion Week.
