Unveiling the Winner of the Wessel & Vett Fashion Prize 2026
A New Era of Creativity and Commercial Empowerment.
Following the announcement of this year's four finalists for Scandinavia’s most prestigious and influential fashion award - BERNER KÜHL, BONNETJE, CARO EDITIONS and O. FILES - and the introduction of a bold new competition format, the jury has gained unprecedented insight into each designer’s vision, creativity and personality through a series of live working sessions held at their respective studios in April.
The jury will now cast its final vote, and for the first time in the history of the Prize, the winner of the Wessel & Vett Fashion Prize 2026 will be announced during Copenhagen Fashion Week SS27.
This marks a significant new chapter for the Prize, strengthening its commitment to supporting the next generation of Danish fashion talent while creating greater visibility and opportunity for emerging designers on an international stage.
The Wessel & Vett Fashion Prize:
The Wessel & Vett Fashion Prize stands as Scandinavia’s most prestigious and influential award for fashion design. Founded in 2012 by the visionary Wessel & Vett Foundation, the Prize champions entrepreneurship, innovation, and creative excellence.
While operating independently from the department store, the Prize celebrates emerging Danish design talent and honours the legacy of Magasin du Nord. By bridging tradition and innovation, it helps shape the future of Danish fashion while recognising the Wessel & Vett family's enduring contribution to Danish culture, commerce, and design.
