The Act of Becoming

Discover Dualitae’s SS27 universe through The Act of Becoming — an immersive installation where fashion, design and movement come together in dialogue.

DUALITAE presents The Act of Becoming, an immersive installation created for Copenhagen Fashion Week SS27 that explores the ritual of dressing as an act of transformation.

Furnished by BoConcept and featuring artistic contributions by Danish artist Mille Kalsmose and Romanian actress and performer Judith State, the installation brings together fashion, movement, contemporary art, and Scandinavian design in a quiet, carefully curated environment.

Visitors are invited to discover DUALITAE’s SS27 collection, Silent Horizons, inspired by the vast stillness of the desert and the interplay of light, texture, and time. Crafted in linen, cotton, silk organza, leather, fine wool, and denim, the collection balances natural textures with refined tailoring. Textural details become a language of the landscape itself: linear patterns inspired by wind-sculpted dunes, softly rounded stitched motifs recalling the movement of sand, and delicate bead embellishments that catch the light like scattered grains across the desert floor.

Throughout the day, the installation remains open as an exhibition, while three live performances activate the space, revealing dressing as a gradual act of becoming. More than a presentation, The Act of Becoming invites visitors to slow down, observe, and experience fashion through craftsmanship, movement, and human connection.
