Solitude Studios SS27 Runway Show

Solitude Studios presents their first runway show with Copenhagen Fashion Week.

Solitude Studios materializes sociological theory and philosophical thinking into garments and collections, where clothing operates not only as dress, but as narrative structure.

Through immersive fieldwork, with nature as a co-creator, they explore the ability of microorganisms, minerals, and seasonal cycles to transform materials over time. By letting nature assume parts of their creative process, the studio shifts the designer from a point of control, to one of collaboration.

While the collaboration has previously been achieved through submerging garments into Danish peat bogs, this collection points to the parallels of the chalk biotopes of southern Zealand, and the Egyptian desert. Visualizing the limestone workers' iteration of craft throughout 6000 years, and the landscapes’ own remembrance of this dialogue.

The collective memories of hands and geological landscapes are joined in a shared consciousness, with the runway presentation staging silhouettes as simultaneously contemporary and prehistoric; insisting that what once was, still is, and always will be - that this time too, shall re-materialize.
