House of Kerry art and couture by artist/designer Christine O'Donoghue de Vries invites you to view its new "key pieces" collection as well as a selection of timeless pieces from past collections
Heavenly & future heirlooms, sustainable & contemporary—Irish art and design are fused with traditional craftsmanship for a poetic universe, a playful surreal take on storytelling of the landscape, nature and culture. In particular, House of Kerry is inspired by stories of women and the knowledge and wisdom they bring to the table. House of Kerry art and couture will present its new "key pieces" collection by artist/designer Christine O'Donoghue de Vries. Her studio is located on the family farm in Co. Kerry. Carbon emissions are monitored on the farm and studio and are kept low through including regenerative agricultural practices, lots of spaces for nature and a no waste approach in the studio. Christine enjoys a close connection with nature which inspires the collections all made from natural fabrics—wool tweed from the local 300 year woollen mills, Irish linen, end of line French couture fabric and silk printed in Italy with Christine's own print designs made with her own contemporary artwork. Couture pieces are made in Ireland by mainly female artisans and House of Kerry scarves are made in Como, Italy. Off cuts of previous collections are often used in "new" collections. House of Kerry pieces, timeless in design are designed for longevity and maximum wearability. Storied prints and artisanal quality fabrics help ensure the wearer will value them for a long time.
