Creative Hub: Viscose Journal Screening of Notebook on Cities and Clothes
For SS27, Copenhagen Fashion Week introduces the CPHFW Creative Hub, a space dedicated to showcasing innovation and creative expression within fashion and beyond.
Viscose Journal presents: Screening of Notebook on Cities and Clothes (1989)
Viscose, founded in Copenhagen in 2021, has quickly gained recognition as the world's leading journal for critical fashion thinking, bridging ideas and discourses between art and fashion. To announce the launch of its 9th issue, on JAPAN, join Viscose for a special screening of Wim Wenders' 1989 documentary on avant-garde designer Yohji Yamamoto.
In his mission to portray, and understand, the mythic Japanese designer, Wenders' cult classic unfolds as a series of reflecting mirrors, conceptual shortcuts, philosophical commonplaces and thematic metaphors—about the love of cinema, clothes, and cities. The evening will feature a special introduction by Viscose's founding editor-in-chief, Jeppe Ugelvig, while rare past issues of Viscose will be available for purchase.
This event is strictly 18+.
Entry Restriction: Guests under the age of 18 will not be permitted entry.
The Creative Hub will run from 5–6 August, featuring a range of activations that are open to all on a first come, first served basis.
