CPHFW CEO Cecilie Thorsmark leads panel discussion live from Lisbon at the Web Summit with Serge Carriera Head of Emerging Brands Initiative at Paris Fashion Week.
This week, Lisbon plays host once again to the Web Summit, bringing together the leading voices who are redefining the tech industry. Cecilie Thorsmark, CEO of Copenhagen Fashion Week took to the stage to discuss how fashion week organisations can be a leading force for change.
Cecilie held the conversation with Serge Carriera, Head of Emerging Brands Initiative at Paris Fashion Week, with both speakers representing two leading voices within the global fashion industry that are exploring new methods and business models in order to incur positive impact.
Since stepping into the role of Head of Emerging Brands Initiative at Paris Fashion Week, part of The Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la mode, Serge has nurtured young designers, working closely with Paris-based university, Institut Français de la Mode, focussing on the long-term development of young creatives and emerging talent, who will shape the future of the industry.
Cecilie Thorsmark is the CEO of Copenhagen Fashion Week. Along with Thorsmark’s appointment in 2018 came her announcement to transition the event into a pioneering industry platform with the capacity to further the industry’s sustainability potential. In January 2020, Thorsmark launched the ambitioys three-year action plan ‘Reinventing Copenhagen Fashion Week’ presenting an innovative system of minimum sustainability requirements for brands on the official schedule. Prior to joining Copenhagen Fashion Week, Thorsmark held a two-year tenure as Global Fashion Agenda’s Communication Director.
