Meet the Industry Insiders — Q&A with Susanne Holzweiler, creative director at Holzweiler
Meet the designers dives into the excitement and expectations from some of the brands on the official schedule for Copenhagen Fashion Week SS20, offering you a look behind the scenes.
Oslo based Norwegian brand Holzweiler celebrates individuality and unique creative expressions, and their strong passion for art, culture and sustainability is visible throughout their collections, collaborations and ambition for the future of fashion. This season they are merging the past, present and future, and we are excited to see what SS20 will bring.
In your opinion, what sets Copenhagen Fashion Week apart from other international fashion weeks?
I think it’s a combination of the Scandi vibe and energy of the city and that you feel a kind of unity between the brands. Copenhagen is also not too big, but very easy and beautiful.
What are you most excited about, with SS20 approaching?
We are introducing some new silhouettes, reflecting the past, present and future of Holzweiler and we have been digging even deeper into the process, of the making and craftsmanship of each garment.
Could you give us a hint on what we can anticipate from your show/presentation?
We will give you something from both the past, present and the future. Combining signature patterns, artistic prints and a vivid use of colour, combined with functional shapes and high quality materials, Holzweiler’s DNA shines through in every collection.
Copenhagen Fashion Week kicks off on Tuesday 6 August – Friday 9 August.
