Copenhagen Fashion Week AW20 sees an increased presence of menswear brands

Copenhagen Fashion Week is pleased to welcome an increased number of menswear brands to the AW20 schedule, including new names like Tonsure and Martin Asbjørn. 

Menswear has always been an integral part of Copenhagen Fashion Week, and this season we are excited to present an even stronger line-up, featuring among others Tonsure and Martin Asbjørn – alongside Wood Wood and Han Kjøbenhavn who were revealed last week. They are joining a strong field of established menswear brands like Henrik Vibskov and Soulland, as well as Magasin du Nord Fashion Prize finalist Mfpen.

“We are delighted to be back presenting at Copenhagen Fashion Week. Copenhagen is our hometown and with an increase in international visitors, both press and buyers, it only feels natural to be part of again. It is always a special feeling to be able to present our collection on home turf,” states Malte Flagstad, Founder and Designer at Tonsure.

The menswear brands on the official schedule made headlines already last season, when Christopher Morency, Editor-at-Large at Highsnobiety, wrote “Danish menswear is entering a new phase and it’s very likely that like its women’s counterpart will find a global scale in the next couple of seasons.”

We are looking forward to watching the new era of Scandinavian menswear unfold, and excited to welcome both new and established menswear brands to the AW20 schedule. Stay tuned for the release of the official schedule mid December.
