The CFW Talent Scene designers AW18 are…

We are proud to present the CFW New Talent Scene for emerging talents – this season with a sustainable focus.

Three selected designers will show their latest collection to the press, buyers as well as the public on Tuesday, 30 January at Kanonbådsvej 10 in Copenhagen.

Copenhagen Fashion Week and main partner Boozt want to create showcasing platforms for emerging design talents and support brands working with a sustainable production. Thus, the CFW New Talent Scene is also a competition. Boozt will select a winner among the three talents. The winner will exclusively receive mentorship and coaching from Kasper Staalsø, Strategy & Brand Director at Boozt – to help develop the winning brand and make it reach its full potential. The mentoring process will be documented on the CFW platforms and the winner will be announced on Friday, 2 February.

With a high focus on sustainability, this year’s three show brands are already among the future talents of Scandinavian fashion.

The AW18 CFW New Talent Scene presents:

Sur Le Chemin:
The essence of Sur Le Chemin is slow fashion. Designer Kjetil Aas creates clothes that are relevant and at the same time easy to use in everyday life. Only focusing on beautiful essentials like the classic chinos, merino knitwear and oxford shirts in organic cotton makes Sur Le Chemin stand out. It’s about shouting the simple, creating the best. By looking at wardrobe staples and workwear Sur Le Chemin hopes to create something timeless and built to last.

By Signe:
At By Signe the entire design process from creative design to production and finishing is gathered under one roof. The in-house production in Denmark ensures absolute ethical security in a healthy and safe environment. When selecting materials, the brand strives for fabrics to be organic and certified by The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS).

The AW18 collection is inspired by designer Signe Rødbro’s personal experiences and digital words of tragic modern love stories. With the moon as a focal point the collection is looking for natural beauty in darker mental places.

The childhood friends, Jeppe and Jesper, founded Forét from the simple idea to make slow goods for the journey. The aim is to create a brand that inspires to slow down, go offline and explore the planet.

The AW18 collection is built around the concept of “FISH & FOLK” with references to the nature, relaxation, presence and passion. It’s a mix of practical yet comfortable garments, with a simple and clean touch for everyday use. The colors and materials are inspired from the shades of the Nordic woods, lakes and fish.
