Rixo was founded in 2015 by Henrietta Rix and Orlagh McCloskey with a vision of the wanderlust, free-spirited wearer.
Rixo’s sole mission is to create effortlessly feminine and versatile shapes that become investment pieces and add to a wardrobe that will be used constantly. With both comfort and quality in mind, Henrietta and Orlagh always have their customer at the forefront of their vision, designing styles to flatter all shapes and sizes and provide an innate confidence in women of all ages.
The Humans of Rixo cherish their garments and passionately represent the brands versatile lifestyle aesthetic with a vintage twist, forever styling their looks in new and inspiring ways under the global hashtag, Humans of Rixo. Rixo pieces are made to proudly stand the test of time and are often passed down amongst generations; the brand works with artisan crafters across Europe and Asia and use quality natural fibres to ensure this. Having worked with factories in both India and China since the beginning, the team have a very special working relationship with these teams, working closely to create collections with a joint passion.
Rixo’s timeless look has been gracing the fashion world for 5 years now, having marked its milestone birthday in September 2020. With collections ranging from Loungewear to Ready-to-Wear and Swim, Rixo is a brand of variety and necessity. Based in London, the brand now has two stores at the Kings Road and St Johns Wood as well as being stocked at retailer greats such as Liberties, Harrods and Selfridges, including many more worldwide retailers.
Sustainability
Rixo is always striving to improve in sustainability. The supply chain life cycle happens in one place to reduce carbon emissions. In 2020, Rixo produced ‘Rixo Recycle’, a collection created entirely from off-cuts that would have otherwise been sent to waste. Rixo’s packaging is now made from recyclable paper bags.
