Copenhagen Fashion Week was opened last night by Oh! By Kopenhagen Fur, with a show based on the theme of urbanity. It was dedicated to Copenhagen and its inhabitants, and expressed the city’s creative nerve in designing innovative accessories — ones that should become everyday must-haves. All with an innovative furry twist.
Copenhagen Fashion Week’s focus on sustainability was highlighted with Oh!’s materials, where bouclé jackets and narrow coats are accessorized with collars and cuffs in mink or fox. Very pretty as dark blue fox on a dark navy coat, or as a double collar of coral and pale grey mink on a grey jacket.
A pale-blue raincoat was given pale-blue fox trimming, and on a navy duvet jacket, a grey fox collar added a bit of soft luxury to the sportiness. A long, black knitted scarf edged with black fox looked cool, while a Wedgewood blue sheepskin coat cut half and half — the top part being the outside of the fur of the bottom — the inner side of the sheepskin was a clever way of renewing the material.
The collection aspired to capture the contrasts of urban life. Work, weekends, and dressing up. Shopping, long walks, metro rides, and — being Copenhagen — biking.
Oh! provides accessories to infuse the everyday with wearable luxury.
