RUNWAY RECAP – OH! BY KOPENHAGEN FUR
Fashion week is over and it’s time to evaluate. We had a tiny chit chat with Head of Oh! By Kopenhagen Fur, Rebecca M. Holst, about the turnout of the brand’s Urbanity runway show.
What was the mission behind your show?
The show was titled Urbanity and reflected a collection with attitude – an embracing, forthcoming and open attitude. For both the show and the AW18 collection we were inspired by the art form of Urbex – which is all about exploring and making the unknown transparent. Our mission was to show this transparency in everything from the styles to the location of the show, the visual effects and the music.
Looking back – did your show live up to your expectations?
Yes very much indeed. I’m very proud of my team and I believe we truly showed our position as a brand.
Anything specific from your show you would like to highlight?
I’m still in love with the location – the rough, urban vibe and the casual styling was a perfect contrast to our luxurious fur. Besides this I think Vincent Beier opening the show was a big highlight. Soo much attitude and diversity!
What is the next step for Kopenhagen Fur?
We’re preparing a more international approach and strategy for the coming season and of course we can’t wait to show our SS19 collection. A collection which has a more edgy and sporty attitude, then Oh!’s previous collections, even though that we also had some sporty vibes in our AW18 show.
