The sports brand HALO strikes again. Sportswear has never been hotter or more wearable, whether worn for Sunday chill or extreme races, and for either purpose HALO is among the hottest brands to be seen in at the moment. Six extremely fit military men kicked off the show by dashing down the runway, which was conveniently located in front of a habourside Fitness DK; the models to follow were no less physically impressive.
“High Altitudes with Low Openings” — what HALO is an acronym for — was printed on the styles, the words attributable to the former Danish Army Specials Forces soldier who founded the “Newline” to make functional clothing for the army. Handsomely made details like Gore-Tex zippers, functional bottoms, and hidden pockets for snacks while working out made for a carefully crafted collection with a finished look. The colour scheme was kept in nude, complementing the military theme, but with a few excesses like a red tracksuit, a green turtleneck, and a curry-yellow zipped jacket. The collection also involved cool hiking shoes, a nice element showing off the versatile strength that Malkit Singh has to offer.
The collection was fully wearable, and left someone in the crowd commenting how perfectly it would fit his Copenhagen Marathon. There is no doubt that HALO is a leading brand when it comes to sportswear, and I can’t wait to see the collection in-store.
