In the Presidential Suite of decadent Hotel d’Angleterre, designer Bex Fagerholt (daughter of Julie Fagerholt) invited press, bloggers, and friends to a presentation of her second diffusion line for her mother’s brand, Heartmade. The suite played a scenic role for this (staged) glimpse of the life of Bex and her cool Copenhagen friends.
Every room of the suite was filled with gorgeous boys and girls playing at attending an awesome afterparty. Some were eating room-service meals in party gear and stilettos, others drinking in the living room, where a DJ played. Some were in Tagged by Bex tracksuits and hotel slippers. On a king-size bed lay a cute couple, her in a little black dress with pearl details at the hem, him in a hotel robe and slippers. In the bathroom, where a few models pretended to refresh their makeup, the tub was filled with ice and bottles. It felt like lurking into the privileged life of the rich, cool, and beautiful kids of right now.
Clothes were sexy yet wearable, and filled with nods to the nineties, including a tartan skirt set paired with over-knee boots and a beaded beret, and camouflage dungarees styled with a mesh top in reggae stripes — a look you could see Bex herself or any other millennial wearing. Other key looks were fitted jumpsuits with a deep cleavage, or ones with studded tops underneath. A black tulle dress covered with silver beads provided a show-stopper. Every look was finished off with sandals and chokers or big hoops, in an underground sort of way. The defiant mom-daughter designer duo are ones to watch, with potential for international success.
