Emma Cox’ journey began in New York where she started as an intern for ‘Visit Denmark’; the following six months, she worked within PR and digital marketing, determined to brand Denmark as a tourist destination. “I was arranging different trips and press-trips. I think that we, as a nation and as a city like Copenhagen, generally have good stories to tell. What I was most fond of was the storytelling and the power of finding new ways to tell these particular stories”, Emma says while reminiscing about her time in New York.
At ‘Visit Denmark’ she also got the chance to work with hotels and different restaurants which is when she “found out how important it is to have it all lined up and that the hotel, that the guest are staying at, gives the same assent as the very trip they [the guests] have planned”.

Copenhagen Fashion Week
For the past three years, SKT. PETRI has been collaborating with Copenhagen Fashion Week and provided hotel rooms for the carefully selected group of press invited by CFW to cover the fashion week and for Emma, one of the most important details is a constant renewal. “We just partnered up with Frama Studio, who recently began producing different types of lotion. The VIP guests of Copenhagen Fashion Week will get some of the new products. Overall, the most important thing for us is to create a homey feeling after a long day of running from show to show – a safe environment suitable for work but also for a cold drink in a good atmosphere on the terrace” says Emma.

Emma continues to tell us about how important it is to give the guests the right welcome when they arrive at the hotel for the first time which means that the guests of Copenhagen Fashion Week won’t experience a hotel that forces them to listen to long stories about the building or the operating procedures. “We will naturally be at their disposal 24/7 but the experience itself will create the right feeling”.
