What do you get when you cover an entire room with silver bubble wrap, put the speakers on loud with RUN-DMC’s “It’s Like That” and Kris Kross’ “JUMP” and then sprinkle it all with neon colours, studs, cellophane-like silver skirts, checked coats and fishnet socks?
Well, if you go almost two decades back, you’ll have the answer!
Monday afternoon, Copenhagen Fashion Week and Boozt kicked off fashion week by throwing a fashion show in BLOX, taking us all a trip down memory lane (while putting one big smile on the seating section).
To the tones of all-time classics, the decade that had us all go “Pump Up The Jam”was a clear inspiration to Darling Creative Studios, who curated the show. And boy, do these guys know how to start a nineties party.
The intention behind the CFW x Boozt runway show was to give something back to all of us who love shopping. The clothing seen during fashion week is not available before next year, but at the CFW x Boozt show, all styles on the catwalk are in stores right now – what a pleasure to know that you don’t have to wait a whole year.
The show was furthermore a tribute to all the new brands on the show calendar and a big thank you to all the heavyweights in the business.
The CFW x Boozt show was the perfect start to a week full of fashion. It reminded us all that fashion in all its glory need not to take itself too seriously. That’s when it really kicks in. I am for sure going to update my Spotify playlist and start wearing chunky boots and give neon a go.
