This season’s trends: Bike shorts and checked blazers
As part of her job, Trine Rønsbøl, Head of Strategy & Brand Activation at Boozt, has to keep a close eye on fashion’s latest trends and their relevance. This season she was, among other things, behind the CFW x Boozt show held Monday afternoon. Here we get her insights on this autumn’s trends.
Which trends do you believe to be key this fall?
“A bold mix of colours and patterns has been one of the most dominant trends in fashion this year. And luckily, it will continue in autumn. Checked blazers have become a must-have and if you haven’t bought one yet, there will be even more options in the autumn collections.”
Which trend has surprised you the most?
“I guess that bike shorts have made a comeback. But I can actually understand why. They cut the leg somewhere that slims and makes it look longer. So what’s not to like? But it does require a certain style and attitude to look classy in a pair of bike shorts.”
When it comes to fashion, what do you personally look forward to the most?
“I always look forward to autumn collections, because I love wintery fabrics such as the perfect blend between wool and silk, Merino wool, corduroy and Cashmere.”
Are there any specific brands that you keep a close eye on?
“Among Danish brands I’m particularly interested in Lovechild 1979for its understated look of colours and patterns and the mix of sport references with an ultrafeminine feel. I believe that Morten Ussing has a great ability to add some rock chick to princess dreams in a way that really suits my temper. Munthe has just been better and better over the last seasons and I like the inspiration from Japan reflected in the AW18-collection. I can’t wait to wear the rabbit print this season.
The conscious focus of Tomorrow by Pieszak is admirableand an ambitious project that I’m really looking forward to follow. I just bought a pair of their jeans that are already my favourites. Also, Designers Remix has recently presented a new sustainable strategy that I’m really keen to follow. Among international brands my favourite will always be Victoria Beckham. It is so stylish. When I grow up, I will dress like that. Otherwise Totême and Theory are some of my favourites.”

“A printed dress that I can use both with both stilettos and sneakers. A pair of coloured flared pants that will make my legs look longer and can be styled with the season’s patterns. A new pair of sneakers to bring an effortless look to my outfit.”
What do you particularly look forward to during this Copenhagen Fashion Week?
“I especially look forward to the CFW x Boozt show. Together with the most talented people in Danish fashion, we present all this season’s must-haves from the brands featured on the official Copenhagen Fashion Week show calendar. During the week, these brands will show their SS19 collections for buyers and press. To kick of the fashion week the CFW x Boozt show will present the exact same brands and their AW18 collections for the public.”
